Bombay Lakshmi Rajagopalan, disciple of Smt. T.R. Balamani, started to learn music when she was three years old.
She is one of the widely known Matunga Sisters and an "A" grade artist of All India Radio and Doordharshan. She has performed in the National Program of AIR during April 2008 and in Doordharshan in February 2009.
Her voice lends itself well to the Indian Carnatic classical songs. She has sung in more than seven languages including Sanskrit, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Marathi through her long career in music.
She has climbed the musical ladder and acquired high proficiency by hard work and constant practice.
